The mind is the portal to the soul, and what you fill your mind with will shape the trajectory of your character.”

Character & Virtue

Developing character and virtue is crucial for human flourishing. Character encompasses our personal qualities, while virtues guide our actions and choices. Cultivating virtues like honesty, compassion, resilience, and integrity enhances our well-being and positively effects every relationship we have. These qualities help us build meaningful relationships, make ethical decisions, and overcome challenges. Developing character and virtue is not just about personal satisfaction but also about creating a harmonious and just society. By nurturing these qualities, we inspire positive change and foster a culture of empathy, respect, and moral responsibility. It is a pathway to individual growth and a world where human potential can truly thrive.

In contrast to our fast-paced world…

where everything seems to be just a click away, developing virtues and nurturing character requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to embrace the journey. Character development is not about instant gratification or quick fixes. It's about taking small steps, day by day, in the right direction. Like a sculptor chiseling away at a masterpiece, character formation demands time, effort, and support.

That’s where Midtown Collective comes in. We are developing a Character Development Tool to help individuals identify their current character qualities, how they are perceived by other people, evaluate their main influences, and develop a strategy for becoming better versions of themsleves. We also provide classes and opportunities to become part of smaller support and accountability groups.

In the coming year, the Midtown Collective team will dedicate their efforts to fully developing a comprehensive range of free character developing resources, both online and in-person.
